Diving

Addu is one of the Maldives' distinctive southern dive destinations, with outer reefs, ocean-facing channels, manta cleaning areas and the British Loyalty wreck all within the same atoll. Dive plans can range from gentler reef sites to current, deeper and wreck dives, so the day can be matched to certification, comfort and conditions.

Reef manta rays are reported around known cleaning areas through the year, while sharks, eagle rays, turtles, jacks and reef fish are among the marine life divers may encounter. What makes Addu especially interesting is the variety: reef scenery, channel diving and a historic wreck can all form part of the same southern diving trip.
